This site is dedicated to Nicky Byrne,Shane Filan,Kian Egan,Bryan Mcfadden and Mark Feehily who are five Irish lads who make the best looking abd sounding boybad around.

HOW THEY STARTED!
It all started a long time ago back in Sligo when I.O.U was formed this included Shane,Kian,Mark and three others called Derek,Graham and Michael.They had released only one song in Ireland called'Together girl forever'and then Shane's mother Mae called Boyzone's manager Louish Walsh to try and sign them up with a record deal.He was impressed with them but didn't have the time to manage another band so Ronan said that he would co-manage them.Soon after Louis Walsh felt that the line up needed to be changed,so Dereck,Graham and Michael were dropped from the band.Auditions were them held for another member when two Dublin boys Nicky Byrne and Bryan Mcfadden turned up and really impressed them but they knew that only one of them could have been picked so they wished each other the best of luck,but luckily they had impressed Shane,Mark,Kian,Louis and Ronan so much that they were both offered a spot in the group,then WESTSIDE were born but they had to change their name to westlife because another band before them had that name first.Then they released their first single'swear it again'which got to number 1(look at discography for other singles).Then the album'westlife' was released but sadly it didn't get to number 1(look at discography for other albums)They have come along way from performing musicals,kareoke and being on other bands to being one best boybands ever.
